Finding a bathroom vanity that is the right size and height for your bathroom is very important when selecting your bathroom vanity.
One of
the biggest mistakes made by individuals who are
shopping for a new bathroom vanity set is that
they fall in love with a particular set, they
buy it, and when it is delivered to their home,
the realize that it does not fit well in their
bathroom.
Feeling Cramped
Most people take measurements of their bathroom
before setting out to buy a new vanity set for
it. However, while the vanity set may physically
fit in the room, it may make the room too
cramped. Also, another important factor to
consider when purchasing a new vanity set is the
height of each piece.
Style Versus Practicality
It’s easy to pick a particular vanity set in the
seemingly perfect design and style to match a
home. However, getting caught up in finding the
perfect set sometimes causes people to buy items
that are either too short of too tall for the
room, and more importantly, the users.
Vanity sets do not always come in standard
heights. The most common height of a bathroom
sink counter is 30 inches off the ground.
However, for people over the height of about
five feet, two inches tall, this may be too low
and uncomfortable to use. For any person
considered to be tall, a 30 inch countertop will
be ridiculously uncomfortable to use.
If the “perfect” vanity set is found, but it
turns out that it’s only available in a 30 inch
size, don’t buy it if it’s going to be difficult
to use. Never fear… another perfect set can be
found, it just might take a bit more looking. In
other words, don’t settle for something that
looks perfect but doesn’t fit well.
Make sure to consider both the width and height
of a bathroom vanity set before purchasing it. A
bathroom set can be fairly expensive, and once
it’s installed, it is relatively permanent. Be
sure to pick something that not only looks
wonderful and serves the needs and desired look
of the bathroom, but pick a set that is also
comfortable to use.
